Property Description
Location. This is a choice hunting property, located in the Deep Creek Valley of northeastern McCulloch County. It is within a mile of the village of Mercury. It is about 2.5 hours southwest of Ft. Worth, and about 3 hours east of Midland.
Terrain. The terrain is a major feature of the property. It has a prominent hill with over 130 feet of elevation change. There are great views of peaceful countryside and green tree-covered hills. A great place for a home or a deer blind.
Almost all the acreage is heavily wooded. Tree species include live oak, cedar, mesquite, catclaw and other native browse species.
Water. Four stock tanks or ponds are around the base of the hill. They appear to have good water retention. With brush and trees around each one, they are wildlife magnets.
Wildlife. This area has abundant whitetail deer and feral hogs. Other wildlife species include dove, turkeys, and fur-bearing species.
Price. $2700 per acre.
Comments. This one has ingredients most hunters desire in their own ranchland, including paved access on a very quiet FM road. It is within 2 miles by road of another listing of ours, the 571 acre Deep Creek Ranch.
